THURSDAY: We were in class all day. Cristina in the morning and Prof Mello in the afternoon. We watched a movie about the development of the people and cultures in Brazil. We tried the cafeteria on campus for lunch. It is closer and a little bit less expensive but not as much variety. We try to familiarize students to what is available and then as the program progresses, students as groups can select where they like the best to eat lunch and supper.

After class many of the students and myself played soccer for about two hours. We had three teams of 6 and rotated in by teams. The Brazilian students joined us. We all got our exercise for the day and I am sure several will be sore tomorrow. We had a great time. The students went for dinner and socializing at a restaurant near the hotel.
